Sino Iron is the largest magnetite mining and downstream processing operation in Australia, located 100km Southwest of Karratha in the mining hub of the Pilbara.

Our fully integrated operation features an open pit mine serviced by the biggest haul trucks in the world, a six-line concentrator and port terminal facilities at nearby Cape Preston. Our state-of-the-art power station and desalination plant are among the largest in the State.

The opportunity We're seeking a driven Supervisor HME Load and Drill to manage the Shovel and Drill maintenance crew in order to maintain all Load and Drill equipment in the safest, productive and cost-effective manner. You will also ensure all employees and contractors understand and follow all CPM policies and procedures. You will support our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) team. This is apermanent full-time role on an 2/1 FIFO roster, which is FIFO from Perth to site.

We are taking delivery of a new fleet of Pit Viper 271 - this is an exciting time to be joining the team!

In this role you'll be responsible for:

Safety performance as measured by safety incidents and lead indicators, such as inspections and Safe Work ObservationsMaintain legible, coherent and accurate service records and documentation relating to parts, work in progress, backlog and maintenance recordsBe familiar with and demonstrate personal and subordinate staff compliance with CPM's safety, quality, environmental and fitness for work policies and proceduresInitiate actions to prevent the occurrence of machinery/ equipment non-conformance, identify and record any machinery/equipment quality problems. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify the implementation of solutions, control further non conforming machinery/equipment, until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Identify and report any occupational health and safety, environmental or quality IssuesControl the service times of jobsEnvironmental and Aboriginal Heritage compliance to plans and procedures.To be successful in the role you will: Assist in the formulation and review of job hazard analysis (JHAs) as per CPM's proceduresLiaise with operations supervisors and other crew/departmental leading handsProvide assistance to the supervisor or planner on job estimations and work ordersProvide instruction, assistance and direction to all service persons, apprentices and trainees in the performance of their dutiesProvide leadership to support all HME employees as requiredDemonstrate knowledge of all CPM Mining maintenance systems and documentationBe responsible for he management of workshop tooling used by the service persons advising the HME Superintendent of any workshop tooling that is deemed inadequateIdentify opportunities to maximise tool-timeIdentify opportunities to increase fleet performance through planning and execution of the workWe are looking for motivated team players, with good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
