NES Fircroft has partnered with a leading power engineering company who provides specialist engineering solutions to utilities, mining and construction companies, land developers and local governments. They are currently looking for both JUNIOR and SENIOR Protection Engineers for their Parramatta office in Sydney!
Duties and responsibilites: Provide conceptual and preliminary design, option analysis, scope and specification of substation automation and control systemsProtection system design development, device evaluation and applicationDevelopment and maintenance of secondary system design standardsSpecific protection system coordination and functions for HV transmission network installationsStandard and non-standard protection system design and construct application and solutions for all HV power system network assetsAssist in co-ordinating work programs for delivery of non-standard solutionsProtection equipment specification and operation instruction to design and construction, operations, and maintenanceKnowledge and experience wanted:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringKnowledge of HV power system protection obtained through experience, networking, research and other means of professional developmentKnowledge of IEC 61850 substation network communication standardsKnowledge of power system automation (SCADA & control)Knowledge of all legislated rules and codes governing the business and industry (NER, SA Electricity Transmission Code, etc)To find out more: If you are interested in finding out more about the role, please apply via the link.
