An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Senior Environmental Consultant (with 4+ years' experience) to join SLR's Environmental Management, Permitting & Compliance discipline in our Perth Office. Our client-focused approach brings high calibre clients with a range of exciting projects across the resources, renewables, infrastructure, agricultural, industrial and land development sectors.

Based out of our modern Subiaco offices, our Perth team consists of a diverse range of friendly, technical professionals. The work environment is technically astute but has a relaxed nature with excellent flexible working conditions. As a piece of the wider SLR group, we work together, collaborate, share ideas and listen to each other regionally, nationally and globally.

 

Key Responsibilities

The Role

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with support on your technical growth within the national Environmental team. You'll also work collaboratively with other consultants across our 21 Technical Disciplines to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients. 

As a self-starter, you will be responsible for preparing and advising on environmental licence applications, conducting environmental audits, assisting with preparation of fee proposals, developing client relationships and managing project delivery. About you

To be successful in this role you will be motivated and reliable as well as having:A professional qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or other relevant degree4-8 years post qualification experience, ideally in a consulting environmentProven capability in environmental management, permitting and complianceSound knowledge of Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental approvals legislationThe ability to analyse and interpret situations and problems and develop appropriate solutionsStrong project management skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProven report writing skills, high computer literacy.Excellent driving history and hold a current driver's license.
