The Senior Information Security Consultant will conduct vulnerability research and offer advice, guidance and direction to key stakeholders at Westpac. If you have deep technical analysis skills across a broad range of application and infrastructure technologies, are passionate about cyber defence and want to gain experience in a large and complex financial organisation, this position offers the chance to join a great team.  

A typical day may see you conducting some of the following: 

Engaging technical stakeholders across the group and coordinating vulnerability research teams  Conducting analysis and providing recommendations to mitigate exploitation Utilising enterprise analytical products to identify vulnerable assets and track their remediation status Conducting post incident reviews and translating those learnings into policy  What's in it for me? What do I need? You will be an experienced security practitioner with a background in information security roles. You may have worked in threat intelligence, red team, application security development or penetration testing and are looking for the next step in your career. 

In addition, you will also have:  

Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security Industry accreditation in CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH and/or OCSP You will have an interest in reverse engineering vulnerabilities, Capture the Flag, bug hunting, zero-day discovery, etc.   Excellent problem-solving ability. Able to perform research and analysis of data and code associated with security threats, vulnerability intelligence, infrastructure and application frameworks Technical expertise across infrastructure and application frameworks, with the ability to understand an attack path and identify mitigating factors Excellent communication skills. Able to brief a wide audience of varying security experience in simple terms Attention to detail. The ability to build complete and confident statements to the security leadership team.  What is it like to work there?
