Working within a continually changing business and technology landscape, the Senior Information Security Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying and managing business risks in support of the organisation's growth objectives. You'll report to the Australian Security Operations Lead, and your responsibilities will extend across people, processes, and technology with a focus on security operations and practices.

Day in the life: Engage in complex and challenging projects to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of FCTG's information assetsFacilitate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements undertaken by third party specialists, and coordinate reporting and remediation activitiesFacilitate reviews of static code analysis results with internal developers and co-ordinate reporting and remediation activitiesCollaborate with DevOps teams to ensure that operational tasks align to policy and security best practiceContinual improvement and optimisation of BAU security tasks which could include automation and scriptingInvolvement with end-to-end processes of incident management and response, which could include engaging and working with relevant thirdparty providers to facilitate the identification, analysis, eradication, recovery, and remediation of the incidentRespond to information security requests and questions from internal business units, and offer advice in alignment with organisational policies and risk managementAdvise, review, and approve security related change requests, while being a member of the change advisory boardAssist with security related projects and identifying and recommending opportunities for security improvementYou'll be perfect for the role if you have: Minimum 10 years in an Information Technology role with at least 5 years in a security roleRelevant tertiary qualification and / or equivalent experienceSound operational knowledge and experience with using security technologies and controls which include Firewalls, SIEM, EDR, Proxy, WAF, Identity & Access Management, Vulnerability Management, penetration testing, IDS/IDP and PKIAn understanding of relevant industry standards and guidelines including ISO 27000, PCI-DSS and the Australian Privacy Act.Good understanding of concepts across the technology stack, which include Cloud (AWS/Azure), Windows/Linux servers, networking, storage, and networkingWe value you...  Flight Centre Travel Group is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace that supports your unique identity to create better, safer experiences for everyone.
