About Your New Role

Reporting in to the process engineering manager, your role will be to lead, develop and support the production and manufacturing teams through structure, professionalism and formality within the processes of continuous improvements and engineering finesse.

The primary responsibilities and duties for the position will include:

•Design Software Applications to test electronic hardware and product functionality to ensure it complies with specifications.

•Provide software electronic engineering support as required.

•Create, maintain and update engineering related aspects (e.g. parts, bill of materials) of the material requirements planning (MRP) system.

•Assist and support the production team with diagnosing manufacturing issues, tooling, and testing/fixtures.

•Create, maintain, and update procedures for assembly and calibration.

•Ensure inventory is optimised and complies with the requirements of the quality system.

•Ensure components, processes and products are designed to maximise effective manufacture and efficiency requirements.

•Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems including field failures, component obsolescence, and cost reductions

•Generate and review the technical content of drawings, engineering specifications, reports and other associated documentation

•Perform the writing and incorporation of engineering change notices, manage product configurations, and review changes written by other team members

About You:

•Bachelors in electronics engineering (hardware / software) or related technical field; or equivalent experience required.

•Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) layout and design

•3-5 years minimum of C++, Python & Linux programming experience

•Design of Electronics Assemblies

•Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices and manufacturing equipment

•Familiarity with support equipment development for both engineering and manufacturing

•Experience with electronic development lifecycle and development processes and procedures

•Working knowledge of commercial specifications and standards related to electronic design and documentation

•Experience recognizing and solving electronic (hardware / software) failure modes that occur in high reliability environments
