Job DescriptionThe Quality Control is responsible to ensure all fabricated and constructed items meet pre-determined project specifications before being released following Quality Control processes and services. If you enjoy working in an environment where contractual obligations are 'front and centre' you understand the importance of compliance with Australian standards, regulatory bodies then this role is for you. The role responsibilities include: The role will be responsible for (but not limited to): Understand and implement customer QC requirements for each individual project. Liaise with Project Managers, Supervisors and Checkers to manage the QA/QC requirements of the project. Ensure products meet all governing requirements. Complete marked up drawings, registers and spreadsheets and other required documentation and submit in the relevant registers and MDR. Maintain appropriate level of foundation knowledge for Quality Control of goods and services. Ensure appropriate inspection of incoming goods and materials. Plan and resource for inspections. Conduct inspections. Plan, organise and direct the weekly QC inspection schedule. Monitor and report on ongoing production and performance. QualificationsHold a CSWIP 3.1 - Certified Welding Inspector- or equivalent. Proven experience in visual identification of compliant welds to applicable standards and specification. Competent in reading and understanding inspection and test plans (ITP's), technical drawings, weld symbols and fabrication detailing. Proven successful supervisory or management experience (minimum 3 year). Experience in a Workshop Fabrication environment. Be motivated and be a "team player". Have a creative problem-solving approach and be a critical thinker. Willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis and be eligible to access client sites. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal employees.
