Your new company
Client is public sector authority based in Southern suburbs of Brisbane. They are currently doing some maintenance planning work as part of future years capital works projects and are looking to engage the services of a Civil Asset Inspection officer on a contract basis until eofy.
Your new role
Role is relatively standalone as part of small team of staff that need to carry out physical inspections on the drainage assets across the council region and provide assessment and feedback on condition of the asset to help with future maintenance planning works. The project is 'man with van (and IPad / tablet)' role where will be allocated a route of drainage assets that need to be worked through. Each location is assessed against a set of pre-agreed criteria, with report and pictures uploaded via a hand-held device with accuracy and detail a key priority.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates need to have some experience of civil construction or maintenance; ideally specifically of drainage a infrastructure or pits to give themselves enough subject matter expertise to accurately understand and assess what they are looking at. Candidate need to marry this technical understanding with some good knowledge and expertise with IT systems and / or asset collection device and to be able to work with minimal supervision and produce good quality of work
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have class C driving licence and be physically fit enough to walk reasonable distances each day as well as lifting covers which could be up to 20-25kg in weight.
What you'll get in return
Client looking at contract till end of financial year, with hourly rate $36.62 ph plus super. Role is based in southern suburbs of Brisbane.
