Business Development Manager | Timber Supplies | Structural Timber and Fasteners Your new company
Is a supplier of Structural Timber and Fasteners to the construction industry. The business imports Australian standard and sources local structural timber products and sells to local builders, carpenters and Form Workers.
The business sells both via local Australian Timber Yards to support the supply of their customer base, or directly to Builders, Carpenters and Form Workers - who can either organise delivery in partnership with the organisations 3PL partners, or schedule pick up from their own yard in Western Sydney.
Your new role
The company has a strong network of Form Workers who utilise their products on new builds across Sydney Metro - the goal of your role is to further develop that customer base, but also diversify their client base by winning projects with Builders and Carpenters to supply timber for full build projects in Residential or Multi-Residential.
With a dual route to market - either selling via other Timber Yards, Merchants and Traders, or selling directly to the trade, typical projects range between $40k - $100k. What you'll need to succeed
Essential in hiring into the role is a previous track record selling timber to the building industry.
Whilst centred in Metro Sydney, the business is hoping to expand to regional NSW and interstate if the candidate has previous experience and relationships to leverage.
A track record in previous success in timber sales, with established relationships with the customers with the wholesale timber yards, builders, carpenters and form workers. What you'll get in return
The company is looking to pay a competitive base salary, super, car allowance plus fuel card and tolls, and an uncapped commission scheme.
