Full time continuing role SME HR Systems, Senior BA Attractive salary plus generous superannuation and leave loading Hybrid working model, based in Kensington This role plays a lead role within Human Resources and is a subject matter expert in HR processes and the use of HR systems in the administration of human resources at UNSW.
The role is responsible for leading and conducting business analysis activities on assigned projects and business-as-usual change requests, the incumbent will be required to partner with the business and IT teams within the university to provide specialist advice and guidance to ensure the sound and effective execution of projects and operational work.
The role reports to the Head of HR Systems, Human Resources and has no direct reports.
Specific accountabilities for this role include: Plan the execution of business analysis activities using appropriate methodologies such as Information Analysis and Structured Systems Analysis. Lead and conduct the elicitation of business requirements from nominated subject matter experts, using a variety of techniques including workshops, interviews, and analysis of existing solution documentation. Lead and conduct the documentation of business requirements using a variety of notations, including entity/relationship diagramming, UML use case, activity and state transition modelling, and business process modelling (BPMN). Support the Head of HR Systems in optimizing the way in which the Human Resources business analysis works, including practices, organization, and resourcing to promote team dynamics. Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience with HR processes and HR systems with experience in Peoplesoft HR/Global Payroll highly desirable. Extensive experience in business analysis tools such as Visio, Rational Requisite Pro, Enterprise Architect, Pencil, Jira and Confluence. Extensive experience in business analysis notations such as E/R diagramming, UML and BPMN. Demonstrated ability to build executable prototypes. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced. Sound experience in leading and mentoring a team ensuring growth in both breadth and depth of role, tasks assigned and role modelling the UNSW behaviours. Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organization. Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures. High level of experience working with Microsoft Office modules, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
