That means if there's a complex problem you are faced with, there's always someone helpful within our 50,000 strong team you can call on for advice.  Your Impact We are looking for a talented and driven Associate Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative Water Infrastructure Team, based in Brisbane. This key role is required to actively deliver some of the most sought-after water infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand . This is an opportunity to join a dedicated, experienced and globally connected team. Our water infrastructure team includes civil, electrical, instrumentation and control, mechanical, process, and structural engineers, which allows us to deliver entire projects within our water group.  Our team works across a range of embedded water utility programs, standalone local projects, and major national infrastructure projects, covering all delivery phases from up-front strategic planning through to detailed design, and services during construction and commissioning. Whilst we are seeking resources for our Brisbane team, you will work locally, nationally and globally, helping our valued clients solve complex problems. Our Market Solutions framework provides access to technical communities of practice and mentoring from our key specialists and global technology leaders. We will provide you with ongoing development opportunities on cutting edge and innovative projects - where you take those opportunities is up to you! You'll be responsible for: · Delivering technically excellent EI&C engineering designs and consultancy services for small to large scale projects in the water industry. Projects will encompass all delivery phases for both existing infrastructure and greenfield sites. · Produce electrical engineering deliverables, calculations including load schedules & cable sizing, drawings including SLDs & schematics, specifications, models, datasheets, reports, and evaluations. · Utilise prior knowledge of designing control systems, including system architecture, PLCs/RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, industrial network and functional descriptions, comfortable in designing, configuring, and integrating these systems. · In depth knowledge of Australian electrical design standards including AS/NZS 3000. · Assisting with driving business development through supporting bids, identifying opportunities, and supporting the wider team for successful delivery. · Developing and maintaining strong key client relationships - acting as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients across the public and private sectors. · Mentoring and facilitating the technical development of junior engineers. · Promoting a safety culture within the organisation and with our clients. Here's What You'll Need: · Tertiary qualifications in Electrical and Control Engineering. · Minimum of 8 years' experience in the water and wastewater industry post graduate degree. · Registration as a Professional Engineer QLD, or the ability to successfully apply within 6 months of appointment to the role. · Significant EI&C engineering experience with water infrastructure projects including water treatment, wastewater treatment, networks (water & sewer) and/or bulk water systems.  · Prior consulting experience, or experience demonstrating an ability to work within a challenging consulting environment. · Demonstrated experience in technical quality assurance with development of high-quality deliverables, maintaining calculation and decision records. · Excellent presentation and engineering report writing skills. · Strong communication skills with a proven ability to forge strong trusted relationships with clients and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, both with clients and the internal team. · Proactive and motivated, with strong self-management skills. · A team player, focused on the development and promotion of a high functioning team.
