Responsibilities: Lead and manage the project design through the development, implementation, and finalization phase of the Bruce Highway: Dohles Rocks Road to Anzac Avenue (BDA) Project, and other allocated QTRIP activities in close liaison with advisors and other key stakeholders. Lead and manage the BDA project team, consultants, and contractors to ensure all members are appropriately skilled and utilized, and to ensure deliverable, time, and budgetary requirements are met. Monitor and report on BDA project progress against predetermined time, cost, and quality specifications. Provide specialist advice to senior management on all aspects of the BDA project and make technical presentations as required. Investigate and resolve complex engineering issues associated with the BDA project to improve overall performance and ensure value for money. Prepare and deliver submissions and reports relating to delivery and technical issues and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the BDA project. Identify and harness the necessary internal and external expertise to deliver BDA project requirements, including the selection, engagement, and procurement of consultants. Promote BDA project culture and manage development and implementation of the total project plan in relation to integration, human resources, scope, communication, time, risk, cost procurement, and quality. Contribute to BDA public consultation activities and ensure that effective liaison is undertaken with community, local governments, and other key stakeholders. Act as "Principal Representative's delegate" for the delivery of contracts, as defined and delegated at respective development/implementation phases. Mandatory qualifications and conditions: Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role. A current Class 'C' Drivers License. Construction Industry 'White Card'. Requirements of the role: Showcase a proven ability to define project scopes, create detailed work breakdown structures, and allocate resources efficiently. Exhibit strong communication abilities to effectively convey project goals, updates, and expectations, while adeptly managing stakeholder engagement and resolving conflicts. Possess a track record of proactively identifying and assessing project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies, and demonstrating adaptability to ensure project success. Desirable: A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognized by Engineers Australia. Desirable: Previous experience working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads will be highly regarded. Desirable: Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Desirable: Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP). Desirable: Teambinder experience.
