Permanent role  Sydney based - hybrid working  Incredible opportunity to join Westpac's Institutional Bank How will I help? The Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives position exists within the CIB Debt Products team, with primary focus on development and implementation of strategic and continuous improvement initiatives to support the medium and long term vision of the Lending, Trade, Asset Finance and Structured Finance businesses. You will be responsible for provision of Subject Matter Expertise into Group, WIB and CIB-wide projects, as well as to drive prioritisation and delivery of projects core to the CIB Debt Products team. You will ensure the lending and trade finance requirements are in line with Debt Products strategy and are correctly incorporated into the project deliverables, and ensure business cases to support funding pathways are well articulated. You will be responsible for the prioritisation and delivery of all projects and continuous improvement developments across the lending and trade finance businesses to ensure fulfilment of strategic objectives of Debt Products and most efficient use of financial and human resources across the delivery teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for:   Development and implementation of practical initiatives to support Debt Products strategies Provision of regular updates to Senior Management on strategic initiatives and projects Provision of business requirements across projects and continuous improvement initiatives to support project deliverables (including but not limited to business requirements definition, systems design, test strategy and approach, communications and change management) Review of Steerco and PAG packs for projects involving the lending, trade asset finance and structured finances systems Ensuring smooth handover of projects to Product Management and Operations teams post implementation of projects and initiatives What's in it for me? The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in a project management role within a lending or trade finance space. You will have a proven track record in project implementation and stakeholder engagement across operations, sales and technology teams.  You will be an analytical and strategic thinker, great with problem solving and have the ability to work on a variety of tasks and prioritise accordingly. You will also have the following key skills:  Detailed knowledge of Lending, Trade, Asset and Structured  Finance business - environment, products, processes and industry initiatives. Project planning, prioritisation and delivery - ability to execute. A demonstrated ability to build credibility and presence.
