Job Description * Responsible for the operation, support and maintenance of specific software applications, which may be built in-house or third-party software. * Develop deep understanding of the application's functionality and back end. * Oversee software testing and transition processes and provide necessary support when required. * Interacting with the application users + on boarding of the users. * Work in a team setting * Applications development * Monitoring tools and techniques required by the organisation * The Applications Support Engineer uses critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems. Being passionate about analysing and resolving problems, and addressing technical challenges is essential. The Successful Applicant A candidate with a wide understanding of service maintenance Implementing and developing processes and plans Ability to conduct technical impact analysis Design software test plans Test case scenarios Proficiency to provide software support Develop operational configuration management plans Manage maintenance of COTS and other software technologies to maintain currency Oversee software help desk activities Retirement of software procedure Provide training (developing materials and plans) on new software Ability to provide insights on service improvements Ensure requirements are met and exceeded Propose recommendations to improve performance Alleviate client satisfaction Anticipate internal/external business challenges and regulatory issues Document technical architecture, code changes, issue resolutions and procedures Soft Skills Emotional regulation and proficient communication skills are essential What's on Offer This is an excellent opportunity for someone to expand their knowledge and career in the technical support space.
