This position is a teaching and research academic position. You will contribute to the delivery and development of new and existing undergraduate and postgraduate education programs delivered by the Discipline of Pathology and Laboratory Science, and the School more generally, as required. You will coordinate and manage undergraduate and postgraduate units related to your field of expertise, attract and supervise high standard research students in related projects that you will lead or collaborate on. You will support the School's custodianship of the FA Hadley Museum and leverage this to further the educational and research objectives of the University and our partners. You will engage with public or private pathology providers to maintain successful partnerships to enhance teaching, research training and research opportunities. You will be expected to engage and promote a sustainable research program aligned with the research domain of Pathology and Laboratory Science. To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate: PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification in an academic field relevant to pathology Experience in the development and delivery of curricula and the use of innovative teaching approaches, assessments, and materials relevant to the field of pathology Evidence of teaching competence and ability in the form of teaching qualifications, peer-reviewed performance or student feedback A commitment to inclusive teaching practices to enhance equality of opportunity for all learners A growing track record of excellence in research as evidenced by a series of peer-reviewed journal articles published in high quality journals Evidence of an ability to lead competitive funding applications and collaborative research programs Evidence of successful supervision of HDR students, with positive outcomes Experience in leading public engagement activities that promote research and/or education outcomes to the community, government, funders and/or industry Demonstrated ability to relate and work well with staff and students at all levels, with evidence of a commitment to equity and diversity principles Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to team, school and wider University activities such as team/discipline and school meetings, strategic planning and program development Ability to engage with private and public pathology providers to build and sustain successful partnerships to enhance teaching, research training and research #J-18808-Ljbffr
