Federal Government Opportunity, Canberra Based 3 month contract initial with possible extension Australian Citizens are welcome to apply DFP Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a large Federal Government Department. This department provides various educational opportunities and rehabilitation services, along with compensation payments for veterans. Additionally, it provides financial support for a variety of services healthcare, aged care and medical centers. Key Responsibilities Definition and management of project deliverables, schedule, benefits, financials, risks, issues and dependencies, including liaison with relevant suppliers, in alignment with the Departments Project Management Framework. Delivery of project outcomes within schedule, financial and quality parameters, contributing to the overarching program outcomes and objectives. Leading and managing the project team including reviewing and the work of other project team members and suppliers and otherwise ensuring that appropriate standards are applied to the project's outputs. Managing business change and implementation activities including user acceptance and business verification testing, change, training and communications activities and rollout planning and execution. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to management expectations and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of projects. Preparing regular project status reports and presenting status reports to the project board and other executive stakeholders. Complete other tasks as required by the Director of the Legislative Reform Program. Skills Required Strong experience in Project management within a government Agency. Be experienced in working on projects involving Legislative change. Have extensive experience of working in a Shared Services environment.
