About the role As a Leading Hand (Streetscape Maintenance) you will be part of the Works and Field Services team and will be responsible for undertaking garden construction, planting, street scaping and maintenance of gardens and trees. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Planting and garden maintenance across the city Maintenance of small plant machinery and irrigation systems Prepare and apply chemicals View the position description for more details about the role. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Current Qld MR drivers' licence Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent experience General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card Agricultural Chemicals Distribution (ACDC) Certificate. Sound knowledge of plants, planting techniques, plant pests, weeds and turn and its maintenance. Pre-employment checks: FIT Testing for respiratory protection equipment: workers must pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight-fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment. Workers must be clean-shaven or only have facial hair that doesn't interfere with the fitting surfaces and the valve of the respirator Medical (including drug and alcohol testing) About the benefits This is permanent full time position at level LGE Level 5-6 with a salary commencing at $65,696 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
