After enabling JavaScript, you will need to close and re-open this browser window. $91,702 - $104,753 (+10% BDCP) + up to 15.4% superannuationBendigo - VIC, Canberra - ACT, Wollongong - NSW The RoleThe Data, Collection and Futures Branch has multiple vacant APS6 roles that will allow you contribute to Australia's national security.Senior Geospatial Standards Officer - In this role within the GEOINT Data Office (GDO), you will support the development and implementation of geospatial data standards, critical to enabling advanced Defence capabilities. You will represent Defence interests at National and International GEOINT standards working groups.Team Leader Data Operations - In this role within the GDO, you will lead a small team in supporting AGO's data operations. You will support AGOs missions through the management of enterprise data systems and data flows, enabling access to AGO's data at the speed of need. You will drive data operations innovation, making AGO's data more accessible and discoverable.Team Leader Data Mobility - In this role within the GDO, you will be responsible for leading a Data Mobility team. Your team will work to support mission-critical movement and transfer of AGO's data to support mission partners. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive innovation and data-related capabilities.Team Leader Sensors - In this role within the Collection Futures Directorate, you will lead a small team responsible for providing expertise and advice on remote sensing capabilities to support a range of AGO missions and functions. You will work collaboratively to support the successful introduction into service of new remote sensing capabilities.Senior GEOINT Collection Officer - In this role within the Collection Operations Directorate, you will support AGO's space-based and intelligence collection operations. You will develop and implement complex satellite imagery collection strategies, and drive collection capability innovation to enhance support for Defence and national security requirements.Data Analyst - In this role within the Data Innovation and Analytics Directorate (DIAD), you will leverage your understanding of statistics, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and programming. You will work as part of a team to develop and implement new tools and methodologies to answer specialist analytical intelligence requirements.Data Scientist - In this role within the DIAD, you will leverage your experience in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (AI/ML), data analysis and automation, assisting AGO to derive deeper insights from the growing volumes of big data, and at a pace that enables decision advantage.About our TeamThe Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) is the lead agency for geospatial data, information, and intelligence, also known as geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) for Defence and government. In addition, they will be able to build and maintain productive working relationships with diverse range of stakeholders.Our collection directorates are looking for people with a keen interest in space-based capabilities, satellite imagery collection and/or intelligence collection, and have the aptitude to learn specialised aspects of space-based imagery collection.Our Data Innovation and Analytics Directorate is looking for people with strong data analysis/science skills, including the ability to use, manage, manipulate and analyse data to produce evidence-based conclusions. Ideal candidates will have intermediate to advanced python programming experience, with intermediate to advanced geospatial information systems experience.Our GEOINT Data Office ideal candidates will have experience in supporting the management and governance of data across medium/large organisations.
