We are assisting our distinguished client, a Queensland Government Owned Corporation, in sourcing a Desktop Support Officer for an exciting Windows 11 rollout project.This project-based role offers an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension. You'll be part of a dynamic team upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11.Responsibilities include: Provide comprehensive support for the company's Windows 11 rollout initiative across all departments;Providing efficient support by receiving, logging and resolving service requests and incidents in line with company policies;Escalating issues promptly to the relevant personnel;Analysing and resolving requests to ensure quick resolution or appropriate escalation;Updating the call logging system with relevant information, including urgency and impact assessment;Meeting agreed service level timeframes and keeping customers informed throughout the resolution process; andContributing to the improvement of Service Desk and Desktop Support processes. Selection Criteria: Two to three years of IT client support experience within a business environment;Strong familiarity with remote user support and closing out tickets;Prioritisation of end user client support over day-to-day tasks;Strong familiarity with Windows desktop technologies / architectures and their maintenance and configuration;Proficiency with Windows 10 and 11, MS Office 365 and other standard office automation products;Strong verbal communication skills: ability to work well in a team environment, organise multiple deliverables and respond to changing priorities;Strong analytical and organisational skills;Flexibility to adapt and a passion to learn new technologies; andAbility to thrive in a high-performing, motivated team environment to achieve targets and objectives.
