About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen at Life Without Barriers for a Senior Contract & Finance Support Officer to support NISS program in contract management, finance management, performance, and delivery.The incumbent will:Assist the NISS Contract and Finance Performance Manager as required to meet contractual requirements of the funding model with finance and property.Aid NISS programs in meeting their financial accountability by providing financial analysis, advice, and support.Assist the NISS Contract and Finance Performance Manager in proactively identifying, responding to, and resolving funding matters, including property support.Use your leadership skills to coach, support, motivate, and develop team members to enable them to deliver to the best of their abilityBy joining us as a Senior Contract & Finance Support Officer for the NISS program, you will play an essential role in empowering clients and their families, driving positive change, and contributing to a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement within Life Without Barriers. This full-time permanent position offers the flexibility to be based in Sunshine or Dandenong (VIC), with the option to work from both home and office environments, ensuring a balanced approach to professional and personal life.?Key Responsibilities?? Lead and support team members to achieve the business plan outcomes and other organisational programs and initiatives while demonstrating LWB's values.Monitor, coach, support, motivate, and develop team members to enable them to deliver to the best of their ability.Support and coordinate monthly financials with the Finance Teams and Client Services TeamPrepare and update regular reports on financials, resources, and performance management · Prepare, review, and consolidate invoicing and other requirements for the funding body.Support and coordinate the quality audit process and reviews for internal and external stakeholders, including the funding body.Maintain data integrity between systems and records · Proactively analyse data and identify trends and areas of improvement.Assist in the monthly forecast and annual budget process.Assist in developing and improving financial processes, systems, reports, and tools.Provide contractual finance-related support to the NISS programs.Assist in developing, monitoring, and maintaining systems and procedures to ensure financial compliance with contract provisions.Provide accurate data and regular reporting on financial services to managers ·Coordinate and complete support of finance processes and support staff to manage other finance-related management, procedures, and contractual requirements.Provide information for monitoring the financial performance of contract provisions.Assist in developing and delivering training to the NISS programs for contractual compliance regarding finance and property, as well as LWB finance systems.Work closely with managers in supporting day-to-day issues, special costing analysis and approvals, and policy changes.Responsible for reviewing subcontractor invoicing and supporting documents.Skills & Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related fieldSignificant experience in an accounting role including utilising reconciliation and invoicing skills.Demonstrated experience utilising a computerised accounting package.Demonstrated experience in analysing financial performance and communicating financial information to stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.Demonstrated behaviours that are aligned with Child Safe Organisation principles.Working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibilitySound knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and current issues.Ability to support organisation-wide initiatives that support Life Without Barriers' Purpose and Values.The ability work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies.Strong analytical skills and numerical proficiencyDemonstrated written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence, and other material.Demonstrated strong verbal communication skills.Advanced ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of program including Excel.Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role). Benefits of Working with the NISS team Working in an established, highly regarded and Refugee and Asylum Seeker program. Opportunity to work in a supportive and flexible team environment. Monthly RDOWeekly team consultation and review meetings.
