Transport Coordinator

What does the job look like? Responsible for the day-to-day transport activities, you will ensure appropriate resources are available and utilized to meet demand whilst maintaining a safe working environment for employees and our sub-contracting partners. Key areas: Allocate equipment and drivers to deliver operational efficiency with a focus on load consolidationBuild and maintain an effective and successful relationship with customer and all key stakeholdersPlan efficient timeslots with a focus on safety and CORWork closely with our sub-contracting partners to ensure safety and efficiencyValidation of order information from the customer and assignment of loads to driversResponsible for managing site OH&S policies & procedures ensuring compliance Are you the one?The Transport Coordinator is the key customer contact responsible for meeting the service expectations of our customer, and an exciting opportunity for development. You can demonstrate: Experience in a similar role within a transport operations or customer service environmentAn understanding of heavy vehicle safety and complianceExposure to TMS or similar data entry software with a highly developed attention to detailStrong work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment to continuous improvementExperience using Excel and SAP will be highly regardedAbility to adapt to changing demands and pressures
