Located in the historic Rocks district between the Sydney Opera and Harbour Bridge, our hotel offers 564 spacious and inspired luxury guests rooms and suites, 4 food & beverage outlets and 18 functions rooms.   Shangri-La Sydney is looking for skilled and experienced Food & Beverage Attendants to join the Banquets Service teams of Shangri-La Sydney.    About the Role   The Service Associate - Food & Beverage Attendant - Banquets and Events , under the guidance and supervision of the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage/Service Manager and Service Leaders, is responsible for providing courteous and efficient Food and Beverage service at functions organised at the Hotel. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring full mise-en-place is prepared prior to start of operations and replenished afterwards. You will oversee the pass, which includes ensuring dishes are delivered in a timely manner to the right table. Ensure smooth operations of the sections and you are knowledgeable and up to date with the menu. Collects requisitioned food and beverage items from the store rooms and checks accuracy of the order quantities and expiry dates. Maintains cleanliness of function equipment, service stations and banquet benches and surfaces. Serves food and beverage according to Banquet Service standards for the specific function.
