What you'll be doing The HR Advisor plays a crucial role within the People team, with a focus on providing expert advice and assistance to employees and management in AU. This position requires a deep understanding of AU employment laws, regulations, and cultural nuances. The HR Advisor will be responsible for handling a variety of HR tasks, including employee relations, performance management, and policy adherence. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, your contribution will include: * Coach and guide employees and managers on all aspects of HR including performance, engagement, development, HR policies and procedures, legislation and compliance * Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the business * Working with leaders to conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters * Coordinate and support the Talent Management processes for AU with support from the HR Business Partner - Lead * Collaborate with the HR team on broader people and transformation initiatives What are we looking for? * Experience working in a fast paced environment (preferably retail, FMCG and / or Manufacturing industries) * At least one years experience working in a similar role * Preferred experience in employee relations matters i.e. grievance handling, internal investigations * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (desired but not essential) * Strong, proven understanding of EAs, awards, employment contracts and HR life cycle processes and policies * Ability to influence and be an engaging communicator who rapidly builds relationships of trust with key stakeholders * Demonstrates the values of a good team player * Have high integrity, attention to detail and understanding confidentiality and discretion * Advanced level of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Perks of the job * 25% staff discount across all Freedom products, including sales prices. * A competitive salary + superannuation * Access to Freedom to Flex (work from anywhere in the world) * Hybrid working arrangements (work from home and work from office) * 10 days personal leave upfront (for life's unexpected moments) * Extensive exposure to all facets of HR across different business units including corporate, retail and distribution centre * Career growth opportunities - a development plan built around your goals and beyond.
