We are looking for a Principal Advisor, Sensing, to support the Group in driving the most impactful R&D and innovation portfolio. Reporting to the Strategy and Portfolio Lead and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Innovation Science and Technology Group, you will: Collaborate across the Innovation, Science, and Technology Group, all PG and Function R&D teams, Market Intelligence, and Economics, and beyond Actively participate in key industry forums Channel these relationships Apply new generation research tools to understand and integrate weak signals Generate and test insights on key opportunity areas What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team An ability to engage and consult with multiple stakeholders A deep sense of curiosity coupled with practical understanding of industry fundamentals An ability to understand and contribute to strategy at senior levels An understanding of the latest thinking on research and an ability to apply associated toolsets Deep seated desire to make a difference for all of Rio Tinto If you are applying for the role based in Montreal, Quebec, fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
