Short Intro and About the Job We have a fantastic full- time permanent opportunity to join Danone as our Corporate Affairs and Communications Manager at our office in Sydney or Auckland. The role's focus is to support the development and execution of communications campaigns and initiatives that enhance Danone's reputation, its business units and associated product brands. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):Working collaboratively with Danone's external public relations agencies in Australia and New Zealand in support of its external communications goals. Supporting brand marketing teams with expert knowledge and advice on their PR initiatives and campaigns.Supporting external communications initiatives across owned and earned media.Developing material and assets, including (without limitation) press releases, social media posts, imagery, Powerpoint decks, newsletters and sustainability reports. Managing corporate communications relationships with s agency partners. Supporting advocacy efforts in focus areas for the business, such as B-Corp, infant and follow-on formulas and toddler milksEnsuring internal business stakeholders are kept up to date with any external media context or shifts in consumer or stakeholder sentiment towards our sector, Danone and its brands. Nurturing and developing relationships with external charities, not-for-profit groups and other stakeholders in support of Danone's CSR and sustainability agenda. Being a core member of the Crisis Management Team. Maintaining the media contact database and building relationships with key industry media.Managing Australian and New Zealand media interactions on Danone's behalf, including preparation of briefing materials for senior Danone Executives.Managing a 2-person team. About You To be successful in this role you will need a creative mindset. You will be an effective and agile Manager to drive results from your team whilst using your effective relationship and collaboration skills to bring internal and external stakeholders on the journey of identification and management of opportunities and risks. Above all, you enjoy taking ownership and responsibility, and know how to act with speed, agility and pragmatism.Ideally, you will have: 5+ years of experience in a similar role, either in a corporate entity or a communications agency A degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or a related fieldDemonstrated experience in representing an employer in local trade and industry associations and in making effective representations to government, civil service, industry, public health, and community sectors. Networking/relationship-building skills. Experience in people management (Essential).A demonstrated background managing or significantly contributing to complex multi-stakeholder projects. An ability to navigate uncertainty and ambiguity in pursuit of corporate objectives. A strong knowledge of communications strategies and techniques (. multimedia and social media). A broad understanding of Australian and New Zealand media environment and media relations practices. *Please note, you must be willing to travel to New Zealand (or Australia, if based in Auckland) 1 week every 2 months on average, in addition to travelling for specific events when necessary* About Us, We offer and What's next Do things your way.
