ClickRoleSummary: TheRenewables Land Access Principal is a newly created opportunity inour Renewable Energy Development team based at our Perth CBDoffice. Synergy isdeveloping a pipeline of new renewable assets to ensure we meet ourdecarbonisation objectives and the ever-growing demand from ourcustomers. The purposeof this position is to secure land access necessary to support thedevelopment objectives and manage land obligations through theproject life cycle. Keyresponsibilities of the role include: Negotiate land access and neighbour agreements required for wind farms and other renewable asset developments. Establish and maintain positive relationships with landowners in regional areas throughout the development lifecycle. Safely travel within regional areas of the South West Interconnected System (approximately a % travel load). Execute the land access and commercial strategy for landowner engagement. Whatyou'll bring: Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with a diverse range of individuals, most importantly in regional areas. Ability to understand and explain engineering and legal concepts to advance negotiations with landowners and their lawyers. Significant experience in contract, project or stakeholder management. 5+ years' negotiation experience, preferably to secure land access to support renewable energy, mining or construction projects. Tertiary qualifications in law, engineering, energy studies, business, economics or related fields.
