By supporting the academic endeavour across teaching, research, and the student life, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to activities that have a lasting impact on our community.Join a community where excellence is at the core of our culture, contributions are valued and a range of are available, such as:26 weeks paid parental leave or 14 weeks paid primary caregiver leave17% superannuation contributions17.5% annual leave loadingAccess to flexible working arrangements including hybrid working options, flexible start/finish times, purchased leave, and a condensed fortnightHealth and wellness discounts - fitness passport access, free yearly flu vaccinations, discounted health insurance, and access to our Employee Assistance Program for staff and their immediate familyOn campus childcare optionsCheap parking (from just $5.75 a day)Salary packaging optionsAbout This Opportunity The Faculty of Science seeks a motivated and organised Student and Academic Administration Officer to provide excellent customer service and handle administrative tasks in the School of Mathematics and Physics.Key responsibilities will include: Provides accurate information: Answers queries related to student administration within university guidelines.Processes student documents: related to admission, progression, examinations, class sign-on, study abroad, surveillance, course enrolment, and other tasks as directed by the Team Coordinator Advises on student matters: Provide accurate and timely advice to current and prospective students on degree programs and courses offered through the Faculty of ScienceManages academic administration: Updates course profiles, timetables, exams, and grades.Reviews procedures: Contributes to improving and implementing streamlined processes.Ensures data accuracy: Assists with maintaining accurate university databases and materials.Provides administrative support: Offers secretarial services for meetings and committees.Represents the university: Attends events and assists with outreach activities.This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position until January 2025.At HEW level 5, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,396.47 - $86,029.78, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $90,553.87 - $100,654.84 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases - at least once a year.About You Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in student administration.Understands student/academic administration processes or can learn quickly.Meets deadlines and prioritizes tasks effectively.Maintains a high level of accuracy in written work.Exercises initiative and works independently.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication.Collaborates within the team and across departments.Prior experience in higher education (preferred) and delivers exceptional service with a focus on student needs.Proficiency in MS Office, student information systems, and CRM would be desirable.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
