A new role awaits The Cyber Security and Resilience Branch is seeking a highly experienced EL2 Director Cyber Security Operations to join their team.

The Cyber Security and Resilience Branch is responsible for providing strategic agency-wide oversight of Cyber security. The branch manage and implement the requirements of the Australian Government Security Frameworks and other associated relevant legislation including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Manual (ISM) within the Agency.

You will be responsible for leading and implementing comprehensive cyber security strategies aligned with Agency goals and best practices. You will lead and manage the Cyber Security Operations team, including incident response, threat detection, identify and mitigate cyber security risks across all NDIA systems and networks. You will ensure compliance is met across cyber security standards, regulations and policies, demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement in order to collaborate with various stakeholders to integrate cyber security measures into Agency processes and projects. Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Leading the Agency's cyber security operations including managing cyber events and incidents and consider and apply security risk management principles, the Agency's risk profile and the cyber threat landscape in which the Agency operates.

• Developing a cyber security roadmap and associated projects that ensure ongoing uplift of cyber security controls, monitoring capability, and incident response functions for the Agency.

• Managing day to day cyber security operations including cyber capability development and support and cyber security incident response functions.

• Leading cyber security activities for high priority cyber security incidents and data breach impacting the Agency.

Enough about us, let's talk about you The ideal candidate will have a minimum three years Australian Government experience. You will have demonstrated experience in a senior cyber security leadership role with a focus on operations and strategy. Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be influential in your stakeholder engagement skills.
