About the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Department The Molecular Imaging and Therapy Departmentoperates at both the Austin and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals and has four core service components, Nuclear Medicine imaging, Radionuclide therapy, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Bone Densitometry.

About the role As a Technologist in Nuclear Medicine, PET, and BMD, you will provide diagnostic imaging, radionuclide therapy and laboratory services to patients while optimising patient care at all times, and practicing safe administration of radioactivity in a clinical setting.

You will have the opportunity to be part of the senior team that contributes to discussions on clinical operations, staff development, research projects and accreditation efforts. You will also play a significant role in the department's Oncology and Neuroscience Program, as well as possible opportunities to train in Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) administration, and contribute to the Quality Management Framework within the department.

Key elements of the role will include:

Laboratory work including, radiopharmaceutical preparation, haematological and radioimmunoassay Participation in the provision of clinical PET scans, including imaging patients in radiation therapy planning position and triaging of PET referrals Scintigraphic procedures Oncology and Neurology research scans Therapeutic procedures About you You will be someone who enjoys continuing professional development, undertaking project work and participating in professional conferences, seminars and workshops. You'll have excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to be flexible in your approach to work.

You'll further bring with you:

Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations) in Nuclear Medicine Technology or accepted equivalent Accreditation by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine Registration with AHPRA as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist A current and valid Use Licence issued by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
