St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. (St John NT) is the Territory's leading provider in emergency medical response and preparedness. We have a mission to save lives and build community resilience to improve the safety and healthcare for all Territorians. We do this by providing a range of services from an ambulance service under contract to the Northern Territory Government, coordination of emergency medical responses, event health services and first aid assistance at community and major events, through to nationally accredited first aid training, community education and first aid products and equipment.The Duty Manager Northern is a frontline management role based in Darwin. During your shift you will be responsible for the supervision of human and physical resources to deliver effective and efficient ambulance service delivery. Maintaining oversite of an Intensive Care Critical Response Unit, Emergency Ambulances, and a Non-Emergency Patient Transport service, you will ensure that a high standard of patient care is delivered. This will be achieved through professional leadership and support to operational staff, with an expectation that you will exercise initiative, judgement and promote a positive workplace culture.

You will also be utilised in a single response clinical capacity as required.

The successful applicant must have:

a current Authority to Practice as a Qualified Paramedic, with at least 3 years on-road experience with a recognised State or Territory emergency ambulance service;

AHPRA registration as a Paramedic;

demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, staff development and performance improvement;

excellent oral and written communication skills;

well-developed problem solving, analytical and decision making skills;

a strong ability to work in a team environment;

the ability to handle multiple responsibilities;

St John NT offers an attractive salary ($159,429.00 per annum) plus super, relocation assistance and generous employee benefits including salary packaging options and 10 weeks annual leave.
