You will provide the vision, leadership, direction and technical expertise necessary to offer the services listed below to contribute major goals and/or components of the business strategy. The Director ADM will lead and manage the necessary resources and capabilities to:Provide leadership and direction to the Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) team to support this company's global strategic directions and services.Maintain highly skilled teams (internal & outsourced)Maintain ownership and accountability while maximising the value of our strategic partners (e.g. HP, Infosys, etc.). Maintain healthy relationships with such Partners.Provides leadership to application structure applications for quick and simple deployment of new functionality'Inspects' what is 'Expected', doesn't delegate that responsibility, not afraid to roll up the sleeves, strives for delivery excellenceProvides well-articulated strategy for achieving and sustaining technical excellence as Continuous integration and test driven development.Constantly works with the I&O (Infras & Ops) to reduce and mitigate production issues (degradation, downtime or other)This position requires excellent organisational, analytical, problem solving, presentation, and communication skills. In addition to leadership, decision making, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Act as a subject matter expert to IT and business leaders on best practices for managing IT application development. The ability to build relationships and work in a matrix environment while being adaptable / flexible and maintaining big picture thinking is a must.Responsibilities include:Leading Organisation to the next generation of applications development & maintenance with outsourced partners, product organisations and the APAC business management.Leading services innovation in applications development & maintenance with global partners, product Organisations and the APAC business management.Innovating the applications development & maintenance operating model to keep operating expenses at benchmark levels within the industries and competitive eco-systems where his company operates.Solving problems in applications development & maintenance with global partners, product Organisations and the APAC business management.Envision the applications development & maintenance strategy to the organsation and, as a member of the APAC IT Leadership Team, special projects as assigned from time to time to build future business models and capabilities.Energise the organisation to operate as a business itself with a P&L mind-set.Enable the business direction of APAC's IT Organisation and partners to follow industry standards in applications development & maintenance, leveraging best-in-class tools, measured by SLAs and OLAs.Enable continuity of domain, application and industry knowledge through continual knowledge development and capture.Enable oversight ("inspect what's expected") and improvement plans for the performance and value of IT's eco-system of partners and vendors.Enable a high performing team through coaching and mentoring, performance management, training and professional development, work/life balance and living the organisations corporate values.Essential skills and experience:5 or more years' experience managing in an outsourced vendor relationship providing application development and maintenance servicesProven experience managing both internal resources and consultants (this also includes offshore ADM partners working in both staff augmentation and project based delivery models)Can work with senior management and executives, as well as IT vendors and outsourcing OrganisationsA university degree in Computer Science or the equivalent systems experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities10 or more years management experience in IT15 or more years in sub IT management roles such as Application Management, Data Management Architecture, Dev Ops, or other IT relative rolesProven track record in a large, complex transactional environments across multiple application technologies (Web, Mobile, Mainframe, SOA, etc.)Desired skills and experience:Comprehensive understanding of the application of technology in the marketplace, and more specifically in the loyalty sectorGood knowledge of the technology industry and current trendsStrong analytical, leadership and interpersonal skillsStrong technical and technological skillsCan communicate and present information of different technical or business levels to a diverse audienceAble to articulate technology from an end user perspectiveStrong organisational, presentation, project management and excellent multi-tasking skillsCreativity with respect to idea generating and solution implementationExcellent synthesis skillsThrive in fast-moving, performance-driven environment with high tolerance of changeExcellent teamwork skillsAble to manage the accountability of individuals and teams in regards to timelines and qualityCommitted towards meeting deadlinesCustomer and results orientedExperience with Agile Development Methodology and the Systems Development Life CycleIf you have the breadth and depth of experience required to 'hit the ground running' this is an opportunity that would offer a career with development and growth, working in a fast paced and high demanding environment and certainly offer challenges.
