How you'll make an impact
You will be part of the International Applications Team responsible for the Luminos Claims platform. The team consists of Business Analysts, Developers, Functional & Automation testers and a Support team.
As a Senior QA Engineer you will operate as a key member of the Quality Assurance Cohort and critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems. You will play a pivotal role in the software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute comprehensive testing strategies.
On a day to day basis you will: Review project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand the scope of testing and identify potential gaps or ambiguities Develop comprehensive test plans outlining the testing approach, strategies, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies Create detailed test cases covering functional, non-functional, and edge cases, ensuring thorough coverage of system behaviour and requirements Execute test cases manually or using automated testing tools, following defined test procedures and methodologies Document and report defects found during testing Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality, retesting fixed defects, and verifying enhancements Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and other testing artifacts for future reference and audit purposes About you Eligibility to obtain baseline security clearance Tertiary qualifications or certification in software development or allied discipline Demonstrated experience in manual Functional testing Sound understanding of the role of Quality Assurance in the SDLC Demonstrated ability to identify, capture & resolve complex issues Experience with modern software development tools including JIRA, Confluence, Continuous Integration Experience in software & project delivery teams, including estimation, sprint planning and test strategies Strong interpersonal skills, drive, and ownership Working with us:
