My Australia Direct Pty Ltd is currently accepting applications for the position of "Electrical Engineering Technologist" with DMA Engineers in Spring Hill, QLDThe CompanyOur client is one of Queensland leading and longest standing Building Services Engineering Consultancy. They take great pride in their position as a mid-tier firm as they are well equipped to tackle Tier 1 projects, providing Tier 1 service without the Tier 1 headaches and bureaucracy. They have achieved their success through establishing a clear mission statement and corporate values which promote adaptiveness and flexibility which underpin their client centric approach.Due to growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, they are now looking for an Electrical Engineering Technologist to join the team. This is a full-time position with annual remuneration of $70,000 to $90,000 (negotiable) + superannuation on offer.The RoleAs an Electrical Engineering Technologist, your primary objective is to produce clear and technically sound engineering strategies for building projects. This will take the form of creative, yet achievable electrical engineering solutions using a robust and flexible approach while minimising unnecessary costs and constraints.To achieve this, you should expect to undertake the following tasks and responsibilities:• Design and documentation of building services electrical systems including power, lighting, communications, and dry fire• Formulation of conceptual designs• Preparing BIM models• Work with the project team to create all design documents, drawings, and calculations: layout drawings, single and multi-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, section and detail drawings• Carrying out risk management and insurance analysis for projects• Undertaking site audits and investigations• Preparation of options reports, life cycle analysis reports and other engineering reports• Provide on-site support during the construction phase of projects• Liaising with regulatory authorities and assessing applicable regulations• Attend project and client meetingsYouTo be successful in the role, you will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:• Relevant tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent work experience• Experience working in a Building Services Consultancy (minimum of 2 years)• Advanced computer and computer aided calculation and modelling skills• Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, NCC and building regulations• Exemplary communication skills both written and verbal• Ability to foster and maintain interpersonal and client relationships• Passion for Building Services Engineering
