DLL's energy transition strategy aims to play a leading role in the financing of clean energy assets that produce or consume clean energy, focused on 4 key segments of the energy value chain:Clean energy producing assets, such as solar and wind installations for Commercial and Industrial end-users;Energy efficiency assets, such as LED lighting, smart building controls, etc;Energy infrastructure assets such as Battery Energy Storage Systems and electric (vehicle) charging infrastructure; andClean energy consuming assets such as construction, agricultural and transportation (eMobility) assets, including electric commercial vehicles.Purpose of the RoleThe Energy Transition Credit Specialist is a new role within DLL. As

the Credit Specialist ("CS") for Energy Transition ("ET") , you will help to contribute to the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future. You will underwrite the credit risk of the counterparty for transactions in the 4 key segments, while also taking into consideration the overall Risk-Reward-Sustainability components of the transaction. It is crucial that the specialist has a sharp eye for the relevant legislation and regulations (compliance) and acts in accordance with them across the full scope of the discipline. You are able to set up (credit / financing) structures for complex organizational structures, non-standard financial products and high-risk transactions, working closely with other functions, including commercial, legal, and compliance.In terms of difficulty, the role holder will be the subject matter expert, therefore this role explicitly requires the ability to create clarity and structure through managing the diversity of strategic, business and financial-economic influences. The challenge is to work through that complexity, identify a solution and provide practical, quality advice. As a senior advisor towards the Credit Decisioning Bodies and relevant Global Business Units's you will actively challenge the business to continually improve decision-making. As a recognized discipline specialist you will provide coaching to underwriters in the Region and. work closely with the Vendor / Partner program specialists to safeguard industry and asset knowledge.Find out more here about how you can unleash your full potential at DLLDay to day:

Execute DLL's ET business strategy and maintain risk profile within the risk appetite and underwriting criteria:Underwrite and decision nonstandard structured complex application and end-user/dealer/local vendor applications that exceed the authority level of the Country and that are within the own delegated authority; recommend applications towards the Regional Credit Risk Officer.Ensure timely and quality submission of materials to the Regional and Global Credit Committees.Credit and risk management activities concerning highly complex deal structures (highly customized payment conditions, agreements, proposals) with knowledge of the business units and customer sectors.Propose DLL's regional risk appetite in alignment with the global risk appetite of the ET team:

Manage and liaise with all DLL parties including Group Risk Management departments, internal stakeholders and external customers/partners within the dedicated countries with respect to risk management matters and representation of DLL Group

Provide clear substantiation for new business and product proposals and material process changes.Embrace effective forward looking risk management by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring and reporting on risks incurred in business activities.Act consistently with the DLL values and supporting policies and standards:

Provide coaching, guidance, training, and coordination within the Asia Pacific region.Educate and advise country risk members and business partners in reviewing and organizing their own Country Risk capacity and capabilities for all risk areas as well as industry specialization, in line with the business objectives.Direct responsibility for coaching and mentoring the (performance and development) of the Country credit underwriters in the region.
