WHO IS PEER? PEER is a well-respected industry based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the training and employment of the highest quality apprentices and the skilling of trades.

The Communications & Events Coordinator (CET) will develop and implement the broad communications and marketing strategy for PEER in conjunction with the Communications and Marketing Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and organise innovative internal and external events Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement, creating and curating engaging content for various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Monitor social media channels for trends and opportunities, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner, and analyse social media metrics to measure campaign effectiveness. Plan, create, and schedule email campaigns using Campaign Monitor. Design visually appealing and on-brand email templates, develop engaging content for newsletters and promotions, and monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics. Support apprentice nominations and applications for industry awards such as NECA, SA Training Awards, MEA, and others. Ensure website content is regularly updated and aligned with brand guidelines and strategic objectives. Create and update promotional materials, ensuring adherence to PEER branding guidelines. Foster and maintain positive relationships with printing and promotional vendors. Provide support to other PEER teams as needed and undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by Communications and Marketing Manager. Essential criteria Qualifications in Communications / Events / Marketing. Proven experience in coordinating successful events. Proven expertise in managing social media platforms to enhance engagement and reach. Demonstrated track record of crafting compelling e-newsletters and campaigns that resonate with audiences and drive engagement. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva and Microsoft Office A drivers licence, National Police Check and Working with children check is essential for this role. The successful applicants will also be required to work some out of office hours during events like expos and graduations.
