Nurse Unit Manager - 9 East and AMU The Royal Melbourne Hospital A critical leadership role within the Royal Melbourne Hospital covering Long Service Leave on 9 E and Maternity Leave in AMU Nurse Unit Manager responsible for the daily operation of the ward Full time position fixed term, working 80 hours per fortnight plus ADO 9 East is a specialist 20 bed acute ward with a focus on providing care to patients admitted under the Infectious Disease unit, Gastroenterology, Immunology and Rheumatology. The ward has a multidisciplinary approach to patient management that focuses on collaboration to provide safe, timely, effective and patient centred care to patients with complex care needs.

The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is an acute general medicine unit with 32 beds that provides rapid, definitive management for patients received from the Emergency Department or directly from the community and other services. AMU has a physician-led multidisciplinary team that performs rapid assessment, diagnosis and treatment of general medical patients.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. This is a Full Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at the City Campus.

Work collaboratively with all departments to facilitate patient flow strategies that meet the needs of the community and the organisation Promote and supervise a high standard of care given by all staff within the team Initiate, develop and implement workforce models that are responsive to the changing needs of patients and staff Collaborate with other staff in key leadership roles to support the achievement of the organisation's strategic, financial and operational goals About You:
