The role:As a Site Reliability Engineer, people might describe you as obsessed about achieving the high quality & reliability for customers demand in a high availability cloud environment.
Employ strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug problems in cloud native distributed systems.
You will ensure cloud systems, software & databases are highly available & performing optimally in a critical environment.
Exemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices.
Build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms & tools that enableengineering teams to provision services rapidly, consistently, & securely.
Your technical deliverables will reach the entire engineering organization to enable product teams to continuously deliver features on the vanguard of innovation.
You will be proactive in identifying opportunities for automation.Write code that is performant, maintainable, clear, & concise.
Influence & educate the engineering organization to adopt new and improved architectural patterns.
Your experience:3+ years of applicable experienceStrong Linux (Kernel highly desirable).Must have current Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, Open Shift or similar.Strong Cloud (any platform)Must have software development experience with one of the following: Python, C#, Java or Golang OR Very Strong ScriptingExperience utilizing CI/CD platforms to automate provisioning infrastructure, software builds, tests, & releases.Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.Advantageous skillsAdministering SQL/NoSQL databases.Hadoop stack (Cassandra, Zookeeper) would be highly regardedConfiguration Management (Puppet, Salt, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Packer etc.)Familiarity with building flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules.
