Our proven project teams readily address complex and multi-disciplinary activities, providing low-risk and cost-effective solutions to the defence force.Learn more about our business .The Opportunity:The Senior ICT Support Specialistis responsible for managing and maintaining a variety of training technology products for the client, maintaining a physical presence on the client site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Technology and simulation system operation and administration, with a clear goal of ensuring all IT training technologies are available for consumption when required.The Senior ICT Support Specialistwill engage with KBR customers (defence), IT support agencies and other contracted entities, and has a strong understanding of Defence IT and processes that are critical to success. The position will report to the relevant Project Manager and be accountable for the maintenance of the contracted IT services with limited direction. Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of training, quality processes, export controls and/or secure data handling requirements. Experience with Learning Management System administration with an understanding of the commercial computer, simulator and training technology industry is also strongly desired. The key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:Provide administration services for IT systems including Local Area Networks (MS Server 2012, VMWare) and Learning Management SystemManage commercial training technology (Simulators/Virtual Reality) including defect reporting and tracking in support of training deliveryEvaluate in-service IT and simulation systems for efficiency and effectiveness to ensure alignment with contemporary best practices (ITIL)Develop and maintain procedural documentation to ensure consistency of system operationProvide subject matter expertise and advice in relation to technology-enabled solutions for training requirements and project processesWork with the client and external stakeholders to integrate systems into project operationsAssign and delegate tasks to team member to ensure continuity of service for the clientOrganise, collate and present reporting deliverables to the client on a quarterly basisQualifications, Skills and ExperienceEssential:Tertiary and/or vocational qualifications in an IT related field3-5 years of experience in IT administration and/or simulation systems, and training technologyExcellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement improvements.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and written.Experience in managing vendor relationships and contracts.ITIL Foundation certification or higher is preferred.NV1 Security clearance (with the ability to upgrade to NV2 if required)Desirable: Previous practical experience in delivering training utilizing simulation productsDeep understanding of defence systems, technologies, and industry regulations; familiarity with government contracts and acquisition processesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of making data-driven decisions in complex and dynamic environmentsBenefits of KBRA workplace culture certified as a Great Place To Work (Aus, India, UK & US)Flexible working conditionsCompetitive salary (including annual reviews)Paid Parental leavePaid Reservist leaveIncome protectionCorporate rewardsSalary packaging/Novated leasingDiscounted employee stock purchase plansFlu shots, skin checks and private health insurance discountsCareer development: Online learning, mentorship and career pathwaysIf you're ready to shape tomorrow, let's get started.
