Are you a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the insurance industry, particularly skilled in managing claims efficiently and effectively? Look no further!We are seeking an experienced claims professional to join our team at Everest Australia. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with overseeing and managing our Australian short tail claims portfolio. The portfolio consists of complex property and construction claims, with future expansion into power, energy and marine claims as our branch continues to grow.As the backbone of our claims management operation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective handling of claims processes, providing strategic guidance, and ultimately delivering optimal outcomes for our clients.Key Accountabilities: Strategic:Provision of claims handling service.Assist with development of the short tail claims function to meet business targets and plans.Personal management of short tail losses and systemic claims issues, ensuring that these are reported and escalated in line with corporate requirements.Ensure that team performance meets or exceeds corporate standards.Identify and monitor short tail claims trends and issues, providing insightful and actionable feedback to underwriters, local management, and the Heads of Claims, Pacific and APAC.Broker and customer relationship management for the Pacific to support the retention and acquisition of business.Align, empower, and influence others through ideas, encouragement, and insight.Market facing role, promoting Everest brand and capabilities within the Pacific region.Provide claim solutions to support clients' most complex risks and challenges.Build brand and product awareness through broker market.Support Head of Claims, Pacific, develop market leading claims offering.Operational:Manage and oversee short tail claims in Pacific.Support provision of claim quality assurance reviews and audits as necessary to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and that all claims are handled according to Everest's Claims Minimum Standards, and/or Claims Best Practices.Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and controls that are in place to meet all regulatory and corporate governance requirements.Candidate Profile Knowledge, skills and experienceMinimum 7 years' experience managing short tail complex commercial P&C and/or specialty lines insurance claims.Extensive knowledge and experience in managing complex claims portfolios.Exceptional oral and written communication, with the ability to provide concise executive summaries to senior management.Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across the organisation as well as with external stakeholders.Ability to adapt and embrace change, solutions driven.Tenacity and decisiveness, with the courage to take risks.Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates respect for the opinions of others.A degree educated professional, preferably including Claim specific qualifications.Demonstrable experience in progressive Claim solutions.Our Culture At Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection.
