Underwriting Operations & Effectiveness Manager

Within One Underwriting the Operations Effectiveness Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with processes and standards including regulatory compliance, driving efficiency and standardisation throughout the business and assisting with new product development and implementation. What the day will look like Key responsibilities will include:

Overseeing all audit requirements both internal and external ensuring issue identification and rectification management Assisting with incidents and complaints including review, assessment and remediation Assisting to drive the compliance strategy in conjunction with Legal and Compliance. Management of the One Underwriting policy framework including conflict management Maintaining and keeping up to date all binder documents and all corresponding operational documentation as required by our capacity providers Maintenance of Lloyds Atlas Pins and documentation requirements and updates. Ensuring processes and procedures are followed, in alignment with ASIC and APRA requirements Ensure documentation is in alignment for auditing standards Project managing, including the implementation of new products to ensure improvement in our speed to market How this opportunity is different We embrace a hybrid working culture where most colleagues work flexibly — in the office, at home and from other remote locations.

Skills and experience that will lead to success This position will suit an Operations or Underwriting specialist with a knack for risk and compliance management.

Suitable people will also have:

A sound foundation of general insurance, preferably across underwriting or broking The ability to learn and understand technical matters quickly Compliance and Risk expertise Comfortable working with binders Interest in process improvements, and working closely with stakeholder to endorse ideas Strong teamwork and the drive to complete tasks on time and to a high standard Adaptability, resilience and flexibility are important, under-pinned by a strong work ethic Intermediate-advance user of Excel preferred along with other Microsoft Office products How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
