The IT team at UNSW plays a critical role in enabling the University's teaching, research and industry engagement. Our priorities are to drive innovative technology architectures and be a trusted advisor and service partner to the University to enable its ambitious aspirations.The primary purpose of the Senior PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Functional Consultant is to provide functional support to all phases of the Admissions Transformation Program.The Senior PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Functional Consultant makes decisions which influence the success of the project; collaborates regularly with team members, users and customers; and engages to ensure that user needs are being met throughout. Work includes a broad range of complex functional, technical or professional activities, and investigates, defines, and resolves complex issues.Specific accountabilities for this role include:Provide functional support to all phases of the Admissions Transformation Program.Assist with the preparation and execution of transition from Project to BAU.Prepare for and assist with support activities immediately after project go-live.Design and Test solutions, Analyse, resolve and test defects.Support Architects, Developers, and other Technical Teams.Develop effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that meet project. needs, Partner with customers to design and develop solutions to meet business needs.Provide 2nd and 3rd level of support to the SiMs (Student Information Management System) and other student systems, including but not limited to expert level advice and guidance to users on system issues, resolving the more complex enquiries and ensuring satisfaction with UNSW IT services.Perform a lead role working collaboratively with the project managers, vendors, and business users, including impact assessments, risk analysis, testing and co-ordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.Coach and mentor more junior staff within immediate and wider teams, such as Functional Analysts, to support development their business knowledge, technical competency, and functional expertise.Develop and maintain expert-level functional knowledge of business systems and their interrelationships with other core university systems.Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health & safety of yourself or others.Skills and experience7+ years' experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including with Admissions functionality in a functional capacityPrior experience with the design and test of custom solutions within PeopleSoft.Prior experience integrating PeopleSoft Campus Solutions with PeopleSoft HR and Finance.Prior experience with prep and execution of transition of projects to BAU and Prior experience with prep and execution of heightened support of products immediately after their release.Prior experience engaging across functional, technical, SMEs and senior management.Prior experience in Higher Education.Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
