Job Description Permanent role Based in Sydney Opportunity to join Westpac Institutional Bank's Global Transaction Services (GTS) Liquidity Solutions team How will I help?

Westpac Institutional Bank's Domestic Payments & Liquidity team supports the end-to-end deposit and domestic payment needs of our Institutional Clients with a focus on working capital, investment solutions and payments. The team is accountable for end-to-end product management and client pricing, deposit portfolio management (including, funding, revenue and quality outcomes), and commercialisation solutions for individual clients (including structuring and analytics) and segments.

As the Associate Director, Portfolio Funding & Revenue Lead, you will support and be responsible for activities related to end-to-end deposit portfolio management of our GTS deposit products that will drive funding, revenue and quality outcomes.

Deposit portfolio management activities include, but are not limited to, identifying portfolio opportunities to generate funding and revenue outcomes for both short-term and strategic opportunities looking at book dynamics, deposit pricing and margin management, transfer pricing, liquidity risk, operating definition, behavioural maturity, interest rate risk management and forecasting.

You will:

Establish subject matter expertise, including external market knowledge needed to underpin intelligent decision-making and pricing for the GTS deposit product set. Develop and execute customer centric strategies to significantly uplift customer engagement, balance growth and P&L performance of the GTS deposit products. Optimise profitability against risk and balanced scorecard constraints. Lead and execute against strategic outcomes and initiatives across a wide variety of stakeholders to realise short-term and longer-term business value. What's in it for me?

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive practical experience in product portfolio management in the banking or financial services industry, and excellent working knowledge of liquidity, cash management and the relevant transactional banking and domestic payments product set. You will have proven strength in strategic, numerical and analytical thinking, and will be comfortable partnering with a variety of stakeholders and be able to take a problem-solving approach while articulating complex situations clearly.

Further advantageous skills:

Solid understanding of liquidity, cash or transactional banking products/processes and the regulations affecting these products and product economics and pricing. Ability to work with large data sets, draw conclusions and drive outcomes. Relevant graduate or postgraduate qualification in economics, finance, or business-related degree is ideal.
