About The Role The role will support the Manager Health and Safety (Queensland) to develop and maintain Group wide standards, systems and program that set minimum expectations and provide clarity to operations and projects.

In this role, you will provide oversight to the Queensland operations to deliver:

A shared vision and commitment to an industry-leading health and hygiene programs Subject matter support across our business, improving performance towards getting all our people home safely through analysis of lead/lag indicators Development and coordination of data informed of health and hygiene improvement strategies Governance over the Queensland fitness for work, health surveillance and injury / illness management programs Close and supportive relationships with Queensland operations ensuring best practice health and hygiene management is championed and prioritised This role is based in our Brisbane CBD office, and will require occasional site visits.

The role will report to Manager Health and Safety (Queensland), and will have two direct reports (Specialist Health, and Health Administrator).

What You'll Do Support the development of the H&H aspects of the WHC HSE Business Plan, and the integration with WHC Strategic HSE related and business outcomes within operational plans Supports the development and implementation of minimum company standards for health and hygiene, and analysis of Safety and Health trends to identify areas where improvement is needed Supports a consistent approach to regional regulatory and industry bodies, and monitor and assess the impact of changes to safety legislation to the business and ensure appropriate action is taken to meet compliance. Developing and maintaining health and hygiene management systems in response to legislative and operational change and industry leading practice. Supporting sites with the implementation of control initiatives to improve risk profiles. Lead a quality external occupational health service in support of injury prevention, management and rehabilitation programmes to promote employee health and wellbeing through: Promotion and implementation of health and well-being programmes, along with coaching and developing leaders in the consistent implementation of health and hygiene systems and programs. Providing advice, support and coaching to site personnel as required. What You'll Bring Tertiary qualifications in Health discipline e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, along with knowledge of WHST legislation and statutory requirements in Queensland Experience in Injury and Case Management and Classification, and developing and leading project and program delivery Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to engage and influence large and diverse teams at multiple levels in the organisation focusing on customer requirements Why Whitehaven Coal?
