Join our team and be a part of this exciting time in Standards Australia's journey!About the roleDrive business growth, optimise processes and systems, and ensure that the resources allocated by Standards Australia to develop its market proposition align with executive and board expectations and adhere to Standards Australia's charter and purpose. This role does not directly manage Standards Australia's revenue generating businesses and instead leads a team that drives forward new proposals and initiatives cross functionally to achieve substantial and sustainable growth in new areas of operations.What you'll do Develop and ensure a strategic plan for the curation, development and optimisation of commercial skills and capabilities required to support Standards Australia's commercial delivery Optimise the use of resources through the strategic initiatives team to ensure alignment and delivery across identified strategic areas of work Lead the team in the development and execution of time-bound, outcomes focused strategic initiatives that drive measurable business growth and development Within a framework of capability requirements, build the skills, systems and processes required to support Standards Australia's commercial capabilities Ensure an ability to provide timely and accessible reporting against projects, revenue, margins, and pipelines across the commercial department Provide commercial insights to help Standards Australia and its commercial partners optimise growth and value Ensure Standards Australia's commercial processes are optimised to allow for quality and timely decision making Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure strategic roadmaps and development cycles take account of commercial requirements In partnership with other departments, ensure Standards Australia builds skills and capabilities in a way that supports organisational needs in a cost effective and scalable way About you Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of ten years' experience in project management, team leadership, skills and capability development within third sector or mission driven environment Strong systems focus and a proficiency in reading, analysing, and deriving insights from data Demonstrated ability to manage complex business problems and lead teams and broader stakeholder groups to outcomes Strong negotiating, influencing and relationship building skills combined with good numeracy, analytical and organisational capabilities Excellent understanding of the role of standards nationally and internationally Experience within the not-for-profit sector Politically and commercially astute Culture & BenefitsWe at Standards Australia are proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award 2023!
