Senior Media And Communications Officer

Salary: $1,731.76 - $1,984.91 per week Location: NSW, 2570 Contract type: Full-time, up to 6 weeks Requirements: Experience in writing for government, executive, or similar media and communications. Highly developed written, verbal, and analytical skills, including the ability to write engaging media releases, speeches, and media briefing notes. Extensive experience in dealing with the media and preparing responses on behalf of individuals at various levels in the organisation. Ability to research and analyse issues promptly and provide innovative communications advice. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people from all levels of community, business, and government. Willingness to demonstrate flexibility in work hours to meet organisational and media needs. Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as both a leader and participant. Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS, and ethical practice principles. Responsibilities: Identify and generate proactive media and promotional opportunities. Manage Council's relationship with the media. Deliver proactive and reactive media content. Provide strategic media advice and direction to the organisation.
