Send your responses to ****** Overview Operational Engineering Branch within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), are responsible for delivering cutting edge capabilities to support ASDs Signals Intelligence, Cyber and Enterprise Capabilities. These capabilities consists of a combination of: - Delivery of new capability under the REDSPICE program; - Delivery of ASD's major capability programs and; - Enhancing and modernising existing capabilities. To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for multiple Project Support Officers. ASD seeks a Project Support Officer that has a proven history of working in complex projects and contributing to the organisational capability within the project. The Project Support Officer will work under general direction to assist several team leads in the delivery of the Project to provide effective administration, procurement and finance support to technical projects. The Project Support Officer will work under general direction to undertake a range of administrative tasks including maintaining Risk Registers, Stakeholder Matrix, and management of Program and Project artefacts within the team. The Project Support Officer will take responsibility for the provision of support services to projects, use and recommends project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking projects whilst supporting programme or project control boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings. The successful candidate will be required to work cohesively and communicate effectively with other project team staff and stakeholder groups. SFIA Professional Skill Level Description PROF 3 Uses recommended portfolio, programme and project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking. Sets up project files, compiles and distributes reports. Provides administrative services to project boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings. Provides guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques. Every application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission Desirable Criteria Knowledge of the Project Management methodologies. Demonstrated Project Officer Competencies within the ICT field. Experience with the Commonwealth complex procurement process, including the tendering process, and managing contracts, is desirable. Essential Criteria Under general direction maintain program and project Risk Registers; including regular reviews and updates; advising team members if they have been nominated to execute risk treatment; and facilitating project risk workshops. Under general direction maintain project documentation including establishment of a document library and control methods for finalised project documents. Ensure that all final documents meet audit requirements and are easily retrievable. Under general direction implement stakeholder communication plans, enhancing customer and stakeholder relationships. Provide administration support including schedule maintenance, monthly reporting, and resource management. Provide general administrative support including management of project record keeping requirements and systems; secretariat support for project meetings and forums and other communications. Provide office and administrative support to the Program Office. Under general direction edit technical and project related documents, and publish documents on the intranet.
