(pro rata)Temporary Full Time up to 29 August 2025Part time contracts will be considered OverviewIn this rewarding role, the Occupational Therapist (OT) assists clients in meeting their goals, by planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive and integrated range of Occupational Therapy services appropriate to the needs of the local community within the Yorke & Northern Cluster.The OT will utilise Primary Health Care principles to ensure the range of Occupational Therapy services provided meets changing community needs. Coordinating the updating and development of evidence based resources, the OT will participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Occupational Therapy programs across a range of acute, outpatient and community settings.The OT will undertake clinical prioritisation and triaging of referrals and managing this in line with other organisational priorities, support less experienced clinicians and allied health assistants and undertake clinical assessments and implementing recommendations to keep clients in their homes, assist in hospital discharge or meet client goals.EligibilityPlease note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP1 or AHP2 and classification will be determined by qualifications, knowledge and experience.Applicants must hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession and be eligible for full membership of the South Australian Board of Occupational Therapist. For those disciplines requiring Registration, all requirements to maintain current registration must be filled. For self regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional associations' accredited continuous professional development program.Applicants will need to be skilled in supporting clients, carers and families across the Patient Journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow-up.
