About the role The Central East Specialist Child Team works to improve the outcomes for infants and children, 0-12 years, and their families, experiencing significant emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties, alongside a range of vulnerabilities, including trauma and family violence. As a Senior Speech Pathologist you will provide discipline specific assessments to children under 12 years of age. You will also provide consultation to members of the team regardaring queries about speach and language for their clients. Additionally, you will have a key role in supporting the Team Leader and Team Consultant, to develop and maintain a positive team culture, working collaboratively to deliver high quality clinical care and improved health and wellbeing outcomes for referred children and their families. The provision of supervision and mentoring of early career clinicians will be an important additional aspect of the role. 

About you To be successful in this role you will possess:

 Formal qualification from a recognised School of Speech Pathology, or to be eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.  Minimum of five years post qualification clinical experience in child and youth public mental health  Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate Speech Pathology assessment and treatment programs specific to child and adolescent psychiatry.  Demonstrated clinical competence at a senior level, and extensive experience in paediatric Speech Pathology, preferably in child and adolescent mental health and disability services. A strong commitment to high quality care The ability to work as part of a diverse team Excellent communication and organisational skills Please refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.
