Salary $90,574 to $100,709 plus 11% superannuation, depending on skills and experience

The Accounting Lead ensures the business is well positioned through:

•  Progressive financial reporting systems including working in partnership with stakeholders to assist efficient financial reporting processes both monthly and annually.

•  Overseeing timely payments and integrity of internal controls relating to accounts payable.

• Ensuring ongoing review of systems policies and procedures in accordance with accounting standards, Financial Reporting Directions, and the Corporation's needs.

• Assisting in ensuring accounting records facilitate sound financial management of the Corporation.

As a Lead, you will motivate and mentor the accounting team to ensure obligations and goals are achieved effectively and efficiently.

This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.

Formal qualification in accounting or business, or progression towards completion of degree, with demonstrated experience in a financial environment.Experience preparing financial statements for management reporting and external financial audit requirements.Ability to demonstrate experience of key financial processes, including general ledger reconciliations, monthly and year end reporting.Experience in the water industry or 'Not for Profit' sector is highly desirable along with interpretation of accounting standards as they relate to financial reporting.Experience leading, motivating, mentoring and/or managing a team.Applications, including statements against the key selection criteria, must be submitted via the above online application form before the closing date/time.
