Group Finance Manager

About Our Client Our client is established and large player in the retail sector, with an extensive retail network and thriving importing and distribution set up with their head office based in Melbourne.

Job Description As part of the leadership team, this role will report into the Head of Finance / General Manager and oversee the end to end accounting requirements from statutory requirements through to commercial support.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Finance business partnering to divisional heads to identify opportunities to improve business operations and support profitability. Including KPI set up and performance reporting. Financial reporting including statutory requirements aswell as management reporting.Month end and Statutory lodgements including tax preparationAssisting with preparation of forecasts, budgets and 5-year business plans for the businessOversight of accounting and finance team including accounts receivable and payable and banking.Liaising with the auditorsAny other ad hoc special projects The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, you will be CA / CPA qualified and have several years' experience in a similar finance role overseeing staff. Driven by system improvements and best practice, you will enjoy getting into the detail and putting in place, best practice processes. A close attention to detail and a deadline driven approach, you will be self-motivated but also be a team player who leads and motivates their team through strong leadership. This role requires someone with a broad commercial and technical skillset that is happy to roll up their sleeves and be solutions focused. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written will be essential for your success in this role.
